Order in chaos and chaos in order
This is composed of various textures taken from water, Bubbles and reflections from the surface all contribute their own element of color and texture. Imagining what it would be like to be inside of water. The endless, ever changing, and amorphous structure. Could you ever get out once you entered?
The cheerful sunflower slowly disintegrating and speaking to our temporary existence. We are loops not lines as our legacy always returns to where it started.
Organic growth pushing through mechanization and a rigid patterns. A play on how the machines in our life dictate to us. My image is trapped in each sphere trying to shoot a photograph of the viewer.
Being knocked down isn't the end. Being alone battling life isn't the end. Sometimes the only thing you have is the next day and the next step forward.
Here I am pushing the background away and drawing the Iris's forward. Let the star of the image shine.
The moth and the butterfly (2022)
Here the viewer becomes part of the piece. The wings of flaming orange bend around to grant the viewer flight. Lifted by the energy of the sun and staring into the night of the moth. We are all just transient sparks of color.
Just give a good flower the floor and watch the show.
When people interact I like to think of colliding waves. As they pass, sometimes they get stronger and sometimes they get weaker. This interaction churns and flows creating a signature for this social moment. Frozen in time and soon simply a memory.
Various photos imprinted on colored kids play slime. It is about expressing messages that are in tension and conflict with each other. What do we say to people using our body language vs what we actually say in words?
Seeking to lure the viewer in to a deeper level; drawing into the center. Playing on the concept in Physics of how energy can only go so low before nature fights back.
Where is the boundary of privacy. At what point does a viewer cross the line into intrusion. Does the flower have a right to privacy? Does the viewer have the right to look at whatever they want?
Not eve sure what to say. I just love his posture so I got to thinking about a dancing crab. Why not disco?
There is what we talk about and what we don't talk about. The very word Childhood has carefree happiness attached to it, but thats not always true. Sometimes when you peel that word back you find something terrifying, and someone who needs help.
